GOV.UK has been running the Local Directgov Admin system since the Local Digital Programme closed on 1 April 2016. The links are used to show results on GOV.UK local transaction pages such as Pay your Council Tax, Report a noise nuisance to your council and Find out your rubbish collection day.
GOV.UK are replacing Local Directgov Admin with a more modern GOV.UK application. From late August 2016 or early September 2016, you won’t be able to access the Local Directgov Admin. GOV.UK will take over responsibility for managing the links in the short term. You can let GOV.UK know about any broken links by leaving feedback on the local transaction page or by emailing [email protected].
GOV.UK are looking for volunteers to test the new application for managing links from GOV.UK to local authority websites. In particular, they’re looking for people who are currently using Local Directgov Admin to maintain their links. You can let them know you want to take part in the research by emailing [email protected].
If you want to be an early adopter of the new system, GOV.UK are planning to give access to a small number of local authorities to get a better idea of how you use it so they can improve it. You can let them know that you want to keep to managing your own links from GOV.UK by emailing [email protected].
